Legacy Giving

What is a legacy Gift?

A legacy gift is a donation made by an individual through their will or other formal estate planning designation.  The most common gift is a bequest of a set amount defined in your will or estate plan; however there are many ways to give.

A legacy gift is a beautiful way to show your love and support for your parish and may allow you to make a more substantial contribution than might otherwise be possible during your lifetime.

How do I provide a legacy gift to Church of the Ascension?

There are many ways to give to your parish.  The most common is a bequest in your Will.  Please see the documents below for more legacy giving information.

Lumen Christi Society

Lumen Christi means “Light of Christ” which is the light in all things, which gives life to all things. This power is an influence for good in the lives of all people, and members of the Lumen Christi Legacy Society share in this purpose.

Membership in Church of the Ascension Lumen Christi Legacy Society Chapter is automatic for any parishioner who makes a legacy gift in their Will to our parish. We are honored to acknowledge these special benefactors. However, the amount of your intended legacy gift is never publicly disclosed. This is a commitment known only to you, your family and the parish administration.
